Full time Security Officer at Chesterfield Borough Council
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Pavements Security team.
The ideal candidate should have recent relevant experience in the security industry and will be expected to administer first aid to the public as required. As this can be quite a challenging role, a calm, firm, and professional manner is required at all times and experience in conflict resolution is essential.
The candidate must hold an SIA Door Supervisor Licence and be capable of attaining the SIA CCTV public space surveillance accreditation within 3 months of being appointed if they are not already accredited.
The centre operates a 24-hour service, as such, the candidate will be expected to be able to fulfil a rota covering 3 shifts over a 24-hour period (including night shifts, Bank Holidays and weekends). The Pavements Centre is a major retail partner for the town centre and the Security Officer role is crucial in maintaining a safe and welcoming shopping environment to support the tenants and Pavements brand.
Successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check carried out by the CRB.
