The corporate services division within the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety is seeking a motivated and highly organized policy professional who demonstrates commitment to excellence in their everyday work.

In this position, you will support the ministry in reaching its goals by:

• Providing advice to the senior leadership team on a variety of labour issues.
• Preparing Cabinet documents and briefing materials.
• Leading legislative and regulatory initiatives.
• Supporting the strategic planning process and ensuring reporting obligations are met.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to:

• Analyze trends and issues, develop options and make policy recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members and build strong working relationships.
• Communicate in a clear and concise manner both orally and in writing.
• Organize and prioritize responsibilities to ensure successful completion of projects.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through a combination of relevant education (degree in public policy, economics or similar) and experience.
