Part time Speech and Language Therapy Assistant – Communicate SLT CIC
Job Description
We are seeking a Speech Language Therapy Assistant (SLTA) to join our highly supportive team based in Halton (Widnes and Runcorn) to provide universal and targeted support within Family Hubs, Early Years settings and schools.
The successful candidate will work within our team of SLT’s and SLT Assistants and with Local Authority partners, parents and education staff.

Salary: Employed at £21,500 – £24,000 (depending on experience).
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week. Term-Time Only or part-time hours may be accommodated.
Start Date: ASAP – February/March 2024
Essential requirements of the post:
- Experience of communicating with young children and their families
- Experience of working with or within educational settings
- English and Maths GSCE or equivalent
- Level 3 in an education related course
- Driver’s licence and car
- Experience of using Microsoft office, including Outlook, Teams
- Respect for confidential information
- Clear Enhanced DBS check (applied for by Communicate following successful appointment)
Desirable requirements:
- 3 or more years experiences working within an early years setting or school
- Training relevant to client group e.g. Elklan, Hanen
- Level 3 in supporting Speech, Language and Communication
- Experience delivering SLUK Talk Boost
- Experience using the WellComm screening assessment and intervention
