This is an exciting opportunity for a Spiritual Care Coordinator to come and join the Marie Curie team at our Cardiff hospice!
Title : Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy Coordinator
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 6 (Range £33,706 to £40,588 per annum pro rata) depending on candidate experience.
Hours/Contract: 22.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Based: Marie Curie Cardiff & Vale Hospice, Penarth

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Patient and Family Support Team at Marie Curie Hospice in Penarth. The role is part of the wider Allied health Professionals team consisting of Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist, Rehabilitation Tech, an Activities Coordinator, and Counsellors providing care and support to people and their families with palliative care needs, pre and post bereavement.
You will be working as part of the MDT to provide religious support and pastoral care to patients, families, and staff members both within the hospice, Wellbeing and Support Hub and the communities we serve.
The successful candidate will work closely with and develop relationships with statutory, 3rd sector services and communities to provide successful outcomes for the patients and their families.
The post holder will be required to develop student and volunteer opportunities within the organisation and provide supervision to these.
You will need to be a confident communicator and calm decision maker; you’ll need experience and knowledge in palliative/ end of life care and bereavement. The ability to prioritise your work, whilst juggling a variety of changing demands, is vital.
Ability to travel across the locality will be required, therefore the ability to drive with appropriate business insurance is essential.
