Steam Cleaner

We are looking for a motivated Steam Cleaner to join our team in Huddersfield on a permanent basis!

As a Steam cleaner you will ensure and continually improve the cleanliness and appearance of our fleet of vehicles.

You will perform minor vehicle repairs, steam cleaning tasks, wheel prep – including painting, fuelling, parking and other general duties.

You will be working at least 37 hours per week and be based out of our Huddersfield depot.

Key Responsibilities

• To attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
• Carry out mot chassis and engine cleaning in line with depot schedule
• Minor vehicle repairs.
• Servicing tasks.
• Fuelling, washing and cleaning duties.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
• Maintain and develop technical skills as required

Technical Knowledge & Training

• Basic vehicle mechanical & electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
• To attend a specific training course on ‘Assessing the roadside situation’ accredited by the Institute of Vehicle Recover
• To attend relevant training courses, this may involve an overnight stay.
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience
• Knowledge of the working of the bus wash would be an advantage
• Must have a driving licence (PCV licence is desirable)
