This is a position for a Stores Person in the Bradford area to work for a leading UK manufacturer in their field. With a solid order book and further plans for growth, the position offers the stores person an opportunity to work for an organisation that values its employees and offers long terms stability.

The Core purpose of this Stores Person role will be to facilitate the smooth running of the department, taking responsibility for its functions. There is a clear path of progression to Stores manager for the right person.

Stores Person duties :

• Ensuring stock is kept in allocated locations or advising when changes are made.
• Liaising with the Production Manager to ensure material reaches production on time.
• Liaising with Purchasing to help with stock control/storage issues.
• Ensuring finished goods stock is kept in appropriate locations.
• Ensuring Sales Orders are picked & packed correctly prior to despatch.
• Ensuring Sales Orders are checked thoroughly.
• Liaising with Sales Administrators to get domestic and overseas shipping arranged.

Stores Person Attributes:

• Must have an in-date Counter Balance Licence
• Driving license
• Experience in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environment
• Previous stores/stock controller experience
• Computer literate
• Inventory control
• High organisational and attention to detail skills
