Temporary Survey Support Volunteer at Humankind Charity
Job Description
Who are we…
Humankind is one of England’s most successful home-grown charities. We provide free, confidential support for alcohol, drugs, housing, or mental health in friendly local places across the UK. We are committed to fair chances for all and making sure everyone can access the help and support they need to realise their potential. By joining our teams of passionate individuals, you will be contributing to making this happen. You can really make a difference by believing in our service users and their ability to make positive changes when they don’t always believe in themselves.
We are incredibly proud of the work that we do to help address health inequalities in England. Every five minutes, an individual accesses one of our services, and we have supported over 90,000 people across all our services last year. Check out our impact report here to read more about the important work that we have done.
About the role…
South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service is the alcohol and drug service in South Tyneside for adults. South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service works in partnership with Spectrum, led by Humankind.
We are looking for volunteers to support with our annual survey of people who access our services. Humankind is always looking at how we can do things better. Once a year, we ask people to help us by completing a short (7 questions) anonymous survey.
The volunteers will have a training session for this role, and staff on-hand to support with any questions or concerns.
Tasks include:
- Support service users to complete the online survey face-to-face
- Digitising paper copies of the survey that individuals have completed
- Making contact with service users to support service users remotely over the phone
- Explaining the purpose of the survey and where the information is going
Maintain own records for tracking completions of the survey
