ABC Teachers are currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a role in a well-established SEND school in Stoke-on-Trent. They are looking to fill both full time and part time roles.

About the role

  • Mainly supporting 1:1 in class with students that have a range of moderate to more complex additional needs, including ASD, and some challenging behaviour.
  • Adapt to the needs of students and provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist the class teacher with general tasks, behaviour management and preparation of materials when required.
  • This will be an ongoing role starting in January 2024.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Effective communication skills, able to adapt to quickly changing situations and children’s individual needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Establish positive rapport with students and staff.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • experience in SEND setting
