Job Description
Salary: National ranging from £23,400 to £30,000 and London £26,000 to £34,000 per annum – Salary offered will be based on skills and experience
Are you interested in joining a team that will help shape and deliver the future of the Competition directorate at the FCA?
We are looking to hire a professional and highly organised Team Administrator to provide day to day support across the Competition department as well as wider divisional support. This role includes supporting managers, working alongside Head of Department (HoD) PA’s as well as supporting departmental projects/market studies.
What you will be doing
We are looking for a professional and highly organised administrator. You will be required to spend 50% of your week working with market studies and project support and the other half supporting the wider team. Duties include but are not limited to:

Facilitate project team meetings; assist with projects such as coordinating with stakeholders to organise meetings

Help manage project data submissions, uploading firm decisions to SharePoint

Creating & receipting purchase orders on behalf of the team
-
Become the team Sharepoint super user – manage records, assisting in the creation and maintenance of SharePoint libraries, acting as a point of contact for project team members etc

Diary support for teams, including room bookings, diary scheduling and prioritisation. Some mailbox management may also be required

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to arrange meetings, often with tight deadlines with some note taking in meetings

Support recruitment activities such as scheduling hold slots, room bookings, putting together interview packs, raising assets for new joiners, organising training and introductory meetings and more

Records management (including updating the guides/manuals and maintaining Locker log for Competition Directorate)

Working alongside other administrative staff including HoD and Director PA’s to coordinate the division’s administrative activities, including ensuring there is adequate administrative cover within the Division

The skills and experience you’ll have

Minimum

Intermediate user of Microsoft Office software, in particular One Note, SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience of working with highly confidential and staff confidential information to FCA standards of handling

Experience working within a busy administrative position
Essential

Highly organised, with the ability to co-ordinate, multi-task and ensure attention to detail
-
Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage a complex workload

A self-starting approach – the ability to work proactively using own initiative with minimal supervision

Strong oral and written communication skills, in particular an ability to summarise key ‘need to know’ issues concisely and in a timely way for senior staff

Strong sense of ‘customer service’ and professionalism in representing the Departments within Competition to both internal and external stakeholders whilst building relationships

The ability to make good judgements

The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with others to complete tasks and meet deadlines in a busy office environment
