South Wales Victim Focus is the main support service for victims of crime across South Wales. The service is funded by the South Wales Police and Crime Commissioner and is delivered by the national charity Victim Support.

South Wales Victim Focus are looking for a full-time Victim Care Officer based in Rumney Police Station, Cardiff.

About the role:

This role is based in our office in Rumney Police Station, Cardiff, CF3 4FD.

The purpose of this role is to support victims, ensuring that South Wales Victim Focus realises their aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime. South Wales Victim Focus serves diverse communities, many of whom experience a range of barriers that may impact on their ability to cope and recover from what they have experienced. These can include financial distress; social isolation; reduced mobility; mental and physical health issues; substance use and lack of opportunity. South Wales Victim Focus aims to identifying what matters to service users and empower them to take control of their journey.
