Waste Collections Vehicle Enforcement Officer
S01/S02: £30,151 – £34,723 pa – £15.63 – £18.00 per hour
1 x 37 hours, plus 4 hours contractual overtime per week

Working across Bradford Metropolitan District
An opportunity has arisen for the above position, to work at the Authority’s Harris Street and Stockbridge Depots across the Bradford Metropolitan District, working a 4 day working week Tuesday to Friday.
You will be required and expected to carryout additional training as required in line with the department’s operational requirements.
You will
  • Have extensive knowledge of interpreting and applying LGV vehicle legislation.
  • Have an understanding and able to apply appropriate record keeping practices relating to vehicle inspection processes and assessments.
  • Hold a minimum of LGV Category C (HGV 2) Licence and be qualified in general LGV operations.
  • Hold a CPC.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
  • Must hold or be working towards a formal qualification, educated to advance level or management qualification equivalent to ILM level 5 or can evidence working towards it.
  • Have experience within waste management and in one or more disciplines directly relevant to the posts e.g. managing a large workforce, knowledge of Waste legislation with regards the collection and disposal of Bulky, Domestic, Recycling, Green Waste or Trade Waste, track record of dealing with conduct issues.
  • Have practical knowledge of Local Authority vehicle fleet.
  • Have a geographical knowledge of Bradford Metropolitan District.
